Memories in story and song, written and performed by CarmaRose.
Presented by Performance Lab

The River Song is an urgent, emotive celebration of the mighty Murray River, revealing the role rivers play in our lives – past, present and future.

Conversations from across kitchen tables inspire real characters and stories in an unfolding narrative.

Stories of historic pioneering adversity, drawn from first-hand reports, reveal the spirit of rural Australia in a historical and contemporary lens.

The original songs and folk-inspired score, supported by local artists' immersive imagery, flow with the energy of the river itself.

The River Song will be touring traditional halls and venues, and is a journey of humour, heartbreak, courage and the spirit of country Australia.

The story is deeply engaging and serves as a nod to the illustrious days of river trade, while acknowledging the challenges of today's changing landscape.

The River Song, a love letter to the Murray-Darling River basin.

A warm and heartfelt journey… the interdependence of nature and man.
