Dec

Presented by Gateway Health Wodonga

Join Gateway Health Wodonga for the inaugural forum, Multicultural and Faith Communities Families Support and Engagement Project to prevent Family Violence.

A collaborative approach supported by an Advisory Panel Committee with members from Multicultural and Faith communities who helped to co-create and deliver a series of Men’s psychoeducation workshop sessions in the prevention of family violence.

They are honoured to feature Tarang Chawla as an award-winning keynote speaker, writer and activist and is a Commissioner at the Victorian Multicultural Commission where he amplifies the voices and lived experiences of culturally diverse people to policymakers.

Tarang is also the co-founder of Not One More Niki, a grassroots nonprofit working to end men’s violence against women following the tragic loss of his sister, Nikita who was murdered by her partner in 2015. Tarang shares his insight bringing a powerful voice where he has dedicated his life to social issues related to challenging cultural norms, racism whilst promoting positive masculinity, gender equality and mental health.

This forum marks a pivotal moment of reflection and learning, celebrating the communityled and co-creation approach. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of the solution.
