Presented by Sharyn Hill School of Performing Arts and Creative Expression

On the Horizon 2025 is a bold and moving collection of theatrical works that explores what lies ahead, personally, culturally, and globally. Through a dynamic blend of comedy, drama, music and movement, this year’s senior drama showcase takes audiences on a journey across time, emotion and imagination.

From the hilariously modern reworking of fairytales in Happily Ever After (Terms & Conditions Apply) to the chaotic collapse of a fictional TV world in The Last Broadcast, the show plays with form and genre while raising poignant questions about identity and change. After Shock offers a heartfelt portrait of human resilience in the wake of disaster, while The Bench quietly explores the passing of time and unseen connections between strangers. WAITING draws us into the tender world of letters—written during wartime but read in the present—reminding us of the timeless nature of love, loss, and memory.

Threaded between scenes are ensemble songs and moments of theatrical reflection, drawing the school community together in a shared creative celebration. On the Horizon 2025 invites audiences to laugh, reflect, and dream forward—to consider what we carry with us, what we leave behind, and what might be waiting just beyond the horizon.
