Join Duo Gaku 楽 – violinist Kaori Sparks and pianist Helena Kernaghan – in their inaugural year for a recital that celebrates both the emotional depth and technical brilliance of these two extraordinary instruments. 

The program spans a rich tapestry of classical masterpieces alongside contemporary gems, culminating in the highly anticipated world premiere of Gordon Kerry's Sonata No. 2 for Violin and Piano and featuring Brahms' much-loved Violin Sonata in D minor Op.108.

Post-show entertainment with Brigita Serbinek

Join local pianist Brigita — a student of Helena Kernaghan — in the foyer after the performance. Now 18 years old, Brigita began playing piano at the age of five and is the current recipient of the Gwen Rowe Scholarship. Her recent achievements include the 18 years and under age aggregate winner for the Albury Eisteddfod, as well as receiving 1st place in the 17 years and over Classical Piano section at the Wangaratta Eisteddfod. She is currently preparing for her 8th grade piano exam in November.
