The Royal Australian (RAN) Navy Band Melbourne - Jazz Ensemble showcases the talents of seven exceptional musicians from the Navy, performing their own distinct interpretations of the jazz repertoire, spanning from the 1940’s to the present day.
Their diverse repertoire encompasses a rich tapestry of vocal and instrumental jazz, spanning classic, swing, New Orleans and Latin American standards, as well as beloved pop tunes by iconic names like Burt Bacharach and The Beatles.
The ensemble represents the Royal Australian Navy, gracing community events, official Government functions, concerts and open days with their captivating performances, extending to audiences both domestically and internationally.
The band have had the privilege of sharing the stage with many world renowned musicians including Don Burrows, James Morrison and Katie Noonan, and have entertained Prime Ministers and Royalty alike.
The Jazz Ensemble continues a proud tradition of representing the Royal Australian Navy, members are:
