Join us for an author talk with one of Australia’s most beloved authors – Jackie French.

Jackie French AM is a writer, dinosaur wrestler and wombat tamer from the Araluen Valley NSW. Her books have won national and international awards and sold millions of copies. Others were eaten by the wombats. She is a historian, ecologist, dyslexic and a passionate worker for literacy, the right of all children to be able to read.

She was Australian Children’s Laureate for 2014 and 2015, and Senior Australian of the Year, 2015.

Her books for young people include Diary of a Wombat and Hitler’s Daughter, with the young adult/adult crossover Matilda Saga and the Miss Lily series and Let the Land Speak for adults
